Microwave Testing Service
To complement our PAT Testing we also provide a Microwave Leakage Detection service.
Microwaves are being used increasingly within workplaces. Lack of cleanliness,
damage and poor maintenance of the door seals could result in Leakage levels in excess
of the recommended limit (5mW/cm2).
Unless periodically tested these devices could become a health and safety
hazard without you being aware.
Following our comprehensive PAT test our engineers will then carry out the following:
- Full visual inspection to include: outer casing, inner casing, door
interlocks and all seals.
- Microwave Leakage detection using the latest (calibrated) Martindale
Leakage equipment.
- Note: All Microwaves must pass the Electrical Safety Test and Microwave
Leakage Test in order to be classed as safe to use.
- Detailed labelling on equipment following the testing.
- Record of tests carried out are logged on our PATGuard management safety
database.
