PAT testing frequency
The Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity at Work
Regulations from the Health and Safety Executive suggests
that regular inspection of equipment is an essential part
of any preventative maintenance programme.
Phaze Electrical's professional approach to this is based on
the recommended frequency for Testing and Inspections, established
by credible Electrical Institutions, such as the IET
( www.theiet.org) (who write the
Code of Practice for In-service
Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment) and the NIC
( www.niceic.com) highly regarded National Inspection
Council covering electrical installations, as well as our
own experience of Testing and Inspecting in various types
of business environments. ( more information).
Regular annual Testing for the majority of businesses has
proven, in our experience, to consistently reduce the risks
associated with portable electrical equipment and its wiring. We
constantly review our records on our PATGuard Safety Management
database and can discuss the recommended options on the
frequency of Inspection and Testing required for your business.
